January 16th Show

Hello Everyone,

This weeks show was nothing special, but it was still a lot of fun as always. I only had a couple requests, like "To Mega Therion" by Therion, and "Asator" by Amon Amarth; but as you can see, they're both great requests. Besides those, I played just the normal stuff, while bringing back some old Burzum and Darkthrone, which I think added a good touch to the mix.

As for news, there wasn't really anything. Just album names and some release dates for Leave's Eyes ("Merebond" - April 22), Korpiklaani ("Ukon Wacka" - April 4) and Turisas ("Stand Up and Fight" - March 8).

Earlier today, I got a chance to see local band Act of Destruction record some things for their new album. It was just bass tracks today, but they were recorded masterfully. They have almost everything but the vocals done so far, so it won't  be too long before we have an idea of  when the CD will come out. I also got a chance to hear some of the more completed songs and they sound great. I can't wait to hear what the finished project sounds like!

It was just me tonight, so there wasn't a whole lot of conversation, but I hope you still enjoyed the show. There was no theme, so I was open to requests. I only got one, from "Big Kev", for a Cradle of Filth song. So the playlist was all me tonight and I hope you liked it.

We're Back!

Hello Everyone!

Melanie and I are back from Puerto Rico and are playing a live show for the first time in three weeks. For the show tonight, we didn't want to do anything fancy, so we just played a regular show in case anyone wanted to make a request.

For news, there were a few things we mentioned. There were some medical issues, like the lead singer of Behemoth getting a bone marrow transplant, and the lead singer of Kamelot having to leave part-way through their European tour. Everything we mentioned can be found on Blabbermouth.net.

This week we were also able to bring you the title track from Turisas' upcoming CD, "Stand Up and Fight." It is available for free download here. All you need to do is, through this website, share it on either your twitter or your facebook. The song is great and I can't wait to see what the rest of the album sounds like.

Hey all,

Despite some technical difficulties, I think the show went well this week. Melanie's friend was there and we were introducing her to the delicately darker edge of metal.
